From 22 credits per use. Every account gets 22 free credits a day. Last updated 13 October 2026.

What it does

  • Summary — the main points of the whole document
  • Notes — structured study notes from the text
  • Flashcards — key terms and facts to self-test
  • Questions — practice questions from the content
  • Explain — a clearer version of a difficult passage
  • Ask — any question, answered from the document

How it works

  1. Upload a document

Add a PDF or text file.

  2. Pick what you need

Summary, notes, flashcards, questions, an explanation, or a specific question.

  3. Keep going

Ask follow-ups or switch mode — you don't need to upload it again.

Try asking

  • “Summarise chapter 3 in 10 bullet points.”
  • “Make 15 practice questions from this paper, with answers.”
  • “Explain the second paragraph on page 4 as if I'm new to the subject.”

Good to know

  • Reading a whole document is one of the most expensive actions in Learnsable: it uses 22 credits, which is a full day of the Free plan.
  • Scanned PDFs with no selectable text can't be read as well as text-based ones.
  • For merging, splitting or rotating PDFs, use the free PDF Toolkit — it costs no credits.

Frequently asked questions

Can it handle a long textbook chapter?

It works best on a chapter or paper at a time. For a whole book, split it into sections first (the PDF Toolkit can do that).

Is my PDF kept?

Files you attach to a PDF question are sent to our AI provider to generate the answer; see our privacy policy for details on what is and isn't stored.

How is this different from the notes generator?

The notes generator turns material into notes, a mind map and flashcards. The PDF tool lets you work with one document in several ways, including asking it questions.
